I offer prepay at the beginning of every month of service or weekly payments after service is completed. I initially send out a credit card on file invite to the email you provide us. This link will then route you to a secure portal to enter your credit card information. Once you hit submit, it encrypts the data so I can only see the necessary information. (Card Type, Last 4 digits, and Expiration Date)
Cancellations are honored if given 14 days (This does not include promotional discounted service like "50% off your first cut") and cards on file are removed if your account is payed in full at your expected end date.
Due to the excessive growth and concerns with quality service, my clients are on a weekly mowing schedule during the active growth season. This means, Spring and Fall time is week to week service, and summertime is bi-weekly for those clients who don't regularly water. The price is the same during both weekly or bi-weekly which results in about 1 free mow a year if you factor in bi-weekly Summer service.
In my mission to grow and expand out one day, I intend to use this system of payment to ensure you are billed securely and efficiently. Look at it this way, you could be getting 2%-5% Cashback rewards on your credit card for a payment you were going to pay for regularly.
Yes, but currently, only for my lawn mowing clients. Once you sign up for recurring service, you get all the perks of a personal gardener plus discounts on those initial services through your continued loyalty. I offer the following Lawn Companion services:
Integrated pest management (IPM) is a proven, cost-effective strategy to combat pest problems without unnecessary pesticides. By correcting conditions that lead to pest problems, you can prevent future issues without the need of toxic chemicals. Examples of this are to remove vegetation the pests eat, removing the pests that the pests eat, discouraging pests from entering your yard through mechanical or physical methods like fencing and even scent driven methods that repel the pests.
To prevent last minute cancellations on the day I expect to service your property, a $99 cancellation fee will be charged to your card on file for cancellations that occur the same day service is scheduled. You must provide ample notice of the cancellation no less than 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Tall grass takes longer to cut and is harder on the machinery. If your lawn is longer than 6” before your weekly service is to begin, you will incur a one-time surcharge equal to 20%-50% of the amount of your initial estimate. This surcharge is in the service level agreement you receive in your estimate and will be submitted to you for approval before the job would be scheduled.
During the active growing season like spring, you want to mow often enough so you never cut more than one third of the grass blade each time. For our cool season grasses in the Pacific Northwest, the peak growth is in the spring and fall seasons. You will need to cut it weekly at a minimum until the grass goes dormant in the heat of summer where you can begin to cut bi-weekly.
Leaving the freshly cut grass clipping on the lawn or "grass cycling" is a beneficial way for your lawn to get natural nutrients. As long as you're only cutting 1/3 of the length off the top, the clippings will be small enough to break down naturally. Depending on your grass type, this can provide 25-50% of the year's total nitrogen your lawn needs! Since the grass blade itself is 80% water, grass cycling also helps your lawn retain moisture longer. Slowly feeding and hydrating your lawn all year. I rarely bag clippings for my lawn. The only time I do is when I fear there is a fungal outbreak in the lawn.
Your lawn will thrive with one inch of rain per week. In the summertime when rain is sparse, you will want to deeply water your lawn every 5 days for about an hour where your sprinkler covers. If you begin to notice a lot of that water running off onto the sidewalk, it might be a sign of compacted soil. Aeration is great because it's like exfoliating your lawn's skin letting it breath and take in moisture better.
Moss thrives in damp, shady lawns where the soil is acidic, and drainage is poor. The Lime helps to balance the Ph so your grass can take in the nutrients the moss has been siphoning from your lawn.
No Moss = thicker grass = less weeds = less pests. It's a compounding effect that most homeowners overlook to resolve the underlying issue which is the lawn's soil.
